Zentaur Poly sugar beet is a semi-sugar, multi-stem hybrid with polyploid chromosome set. The roots are oval or elongated, with white flesh and skin that is green above ground and white underground. The roots are embedded approximately halfway into the soil, have a shallow root furrow and minimal lateral roots, which facilitates harvesting and reduces contamination during harvest. Root weight ranges from 1.5 to 2.7 kg.
The hybrid is characterized by high yield — 1000 to 1100 centners per hectare, with dry matter content of 12-14%, and dry matter yield reaching 120-140 centners per hectare. Sugar content in the roots is at 13-14%, which improves feed digestibility and reduces livestock production costs. The maturation period is late — 145 to 160 days, with harvesting conducted at the end of October.
Zentaur Poly has several important advantages: resistance to lodging, rapid root and green mass growth, drought tolerance, and adaptation to mechanized harvesting. The roots are well preserved in heaps and can be stored until May, ensuring long-term use in animal feed. These characteristics make the hybrid an excellent choice for providing livestock with nutritious and juicy feed.
