Feed Beet Sonet

Sugar beet variety 'Sonet' is a high-yielding, multi-stemmed variety intended for cultivation in the agro-climatic zones of Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissia. This medium-maturing variety features a robust plant with a well-developed leafy and root system, ensuring active growth even under deteriorating weather conditions. The leaves are oval-heart-shaped, smooth, green, with stems colored green with yellowing at the base. The root is cylindrical or egg-shaped, bright yellow in color with white flesh, and approximately 50% buried in the soil. Variety 'Sonet' is characterized by high yields reaching 135-150 centners per hectare, with potential productivity exceeding 940 centners per hectare. The dry matter content in the roots is about 15%, making it especially valuable for animal feed and processing. The beet rapidly accumulates root mass and maintains yield even with delayed planting. Additionally, the variety exhibits high storability, allowing the harvest to be preserved for an extended period without loss of market appearance or flavor qualities. Special attention has been given to disease resistance: 'Sonet' shows relative resistance to root maggots and cercosporosis, reducing yield losses and enhancing cultivation reliability. The variety is suitable for mechanical harvesting, simplifying collection and reducing labor costs. Thanks to its combination of high productivity, disease resistance, and good storability, sugar beet 'Sonet' is an excellent choice for farmers engaged in animal feed production.
