Description Crane
Crane — an early-maturing bush-type snap bean variety, maturing in 45-50 days after emergence. The plant is bushy, compact, 40-50 cm tall, with green leaves and medium-sized white flowers. The pods of this variety are slightly curved, smooth, without parchment layer or fibers, 12-13 cm long and 0.9-1.1 cm wide, with a tip that may be pointed or blunt. The attachment height of lower pods is 19-21 cm.

This variety is valued for its high and stable yield, reaching up to 1.5 kg per square meter, as well as its resistance to bacterial blight. Pods ripen approximately two weeks after flowering begins, and under favorable conditions, the plant fruits for 6-8 weeks. Harvesting is recommended before full pod maturity. Crane is suitable for use in soups and side dishes, and is excellent for canning and freezing due to its superior flavor.

The crop is sun-loving and heat-loving, preferring fertile loamy and medium-loam soils with neutral pH; acidic soils require liming. It requires ample moisture, and sowing should be conducted in well-warmed soil in late May to early June, when the threat of late frosts has passed. Seeds are sown at a depth of 5-6 cm, with 15-20 cm spacing between plants in rows and 50 cm between rows. Bush-type beans do not require support and do not tolerate fresh manure. Crane is a good predecessor for most crops, except other legumes.
