Bean Panna

Early Harvest and Culinary Excellence

The 'Panna' snap bean, developed by the NSC 'Institute of Agriculture of the NAAS', is specifically bred for the Ukrainian climate to provide an exceptionally early yield. The standout feature of this variety is its rapid maturation cycle: it reaches technical ripeness in just 65 days. This makes it an ideal choice for growers targeting early market entry or those looking to implement double-cropping cycles within a single season.

Key Agronomic Traits

• Bush Type Growth: Unlike pole beans, 'Panna' is a bush bean that requires no trellising, significantly reducing labor costs and simplifying harvest logistics.
• Pod Quality: The pods are vibrant green when harvested at technical maturity. They lack the tough parchment layer and coarse fibers found in older varieties, making them highly desirable for fresh market sales and high-quality frozen packs.
• Seed Characteristics: Featuring clean white seeds, this variety offers a mild, pleasant flavor profile that is versatile for both commercial processing and home cooking.

Who Should Choose This Variety?

'Panna' is the go-to solution for both small-scale market gardeners and commercial farmers who prioritize production efficiency. Its compact stature makes it ideal for intensive planting patterns. While 'Panna' is robust, it performs best with consistent soil moisture, particularly during the critical flowering and pod-set stages. By choosing this variety, you gain a reliable, uniform harvest that is easy to manage and transport.
