Bean May Day

Technical Profile of 'Pervomayskaya' Bean

The 'Pervomayskaya' variety represents a specialized shelling (grain) bean cultivar developed by the Institute for Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture. Its primary development goal was to optimize grain yield and performance for commercial farming operations, specifically focusing on mechanical harvest efficiency.

Morphology and Commodity Standards

As a grain variety, 'Pervomayskaya' redirects plant metabolic resources entirely toward seed development rather than pod succulence. This results in high-quality yields suitable for both processing plants and retail distribution.

• Seed color: Pure white, a key attribute for high-value grain production.
• Type: Shelling (grain) bean, designed for stability during extended storage and logistics.
• Technical maturity: The pods exhibit a white color, serving as a reliable visual indicator for harvesting timing.

Practical Implementation in Agriculture

Being an Ukrainian-bred cultivar, it is optimized for local soil and climatic conditions. The key advantage of 'Pervomayskaya' lies in the uniformity of stand development, which simplifies the calibration of harvesting machinery and minimizes crop loss. The consistent white grain morphology ensures streamlined processing during post-harvest cleaning and grading. For producers aiming for a reliable harvest with predictable purity and germination standards, this variety provides a robust, technical solution for grain-focused cropping systems.
