Description Gorlicia
Gorlicia is a climbing grain bean developed in Portugal, known for its unique and attractive bean color. Plants reach a height of 120 to 200 cm, with a maturity period of about 90-100 days, making it an early-maturing and productive variety. Each pod contains approximately five medium-sized, round, plump seeds. The distinctive feature of this bean is its unusual color: one half of the seed is snowy white, while the other is beige with a lilac-bordeaux pattern, which changes to a brown-red hue over time.

This bean variety is valued not only for its decorative appearance but also for its excellent culinary qualities. The seeds retain their shape well during cooking, making them ideal for soups and side dishes. In Portugal, Gorlicia beans are used to prepare delicious and nutritious dishes that highlight their delicate flavor and attractive appearance.

For planting, seeds should be sown in open ground at the end of May, at a depth of about 5 cm, previously soaked for 24 hours in warm water to improve germination. The recommended planting scheme is 10-20 cm between plants in rows and 40-50 cm between rows. Each package usually contains 5 seeds. Due to its low maintenance requirements and high yield, the Gorlicia variety is suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions and will become a decoration for any garden.
