Description Dzhina
Gina pea is an early-maturing bush-type variety of green pea with bright green pods. Plants grow to a height of 40-50 cm, and the pods are about 15-17 cm long and approximately 15 mm in diameter. The pods are flat, pale green, and lack veins, which ensures high flavor quality both fresh and after canning or freezing. Developed based on the Romano type, this variety is resistant to bean mosaic virus, contributing to stable and high yields.

Gina has a medium-early vegetation period — from 60 to 70 days — allowing harvest over a prolonged season without loss of fruit quality. The plant prefers long-day conditions and has moderate shade tolerance. The variety is versatile in use: peas are suitable for fresh consumption, soups and side dishes, as well as for canning and freezing. Manual harvesting simplifies the process, and a planting scheme of 10x50 cm is optimal for achieving maximum yield.

Gina pea is recommended for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic or glass greenhouses, including polytunnels. At a planting density of 100-200 thousand seeds per hectare, yields reach 8-15 tons per hectare. The variety is valued for its high and stable productivity, disease resistance, and excellent taste, making it an attractive choice for farmers and vegetable enthusiasts.
