Sainfoin Andreo

An Effective Tool for Soil Restoration

Sainfoin 'Andreо' from 'Agrofirma Sumy-Nasinnya' is a choice for farmers focused on biological farming. Unlike traditional cover crops, this variety demonstrates exceptional ability to structure soil even in the arid conditions of Ukraine.

Key Advantages

• Powerful Root System: Penetrates deep into the soil, promoting loosening and improving water permeability.
• Nitrogen Fixation: As a legume crop, 'Andreо' effectively enriches the soil with nitrogen, which significantly reduces the cost of applying mineral fertilizers for the next crop in rotation.
• Drought Resistance: The variety is adapted to the region's climatic realities, ensuring a stable green mass even during rainfall deficits.

If your goal is not just to plant a cover crop, but to obtain high-quality biomass ready for incorporation into the soil to restore fertility, 'Andreо' is a reliable partner. It is an optimal solution for farms practicing intensive crop rotation and seeking to minimize chemical load on the land.

Strengths and Weaknesses: The main advantage is a high economic return due to natural improvement of soil structure. Regarding specific requirements (and a potential downside for some farms): it is important to observe the timing of incorporation. To extract maximum nitrogen, it is essential to mow the crop before the stems become overly lignified.
