Eggplant TETI

Italian Genetics for Professional Growers

The «Teti» eggplant hybrid, developed by Societa Agricola Italiana Sementi (S.A.I.), represents the pinnacle of Italian breeding tradition. Known for reliability and high market standards, this variety is a preferred choice for farmers looking for consistency in yield and superior quality in appearance, which is crucial for modern retail markets.

Cultivation and Performance

«Teti» is a mid-season hybrid with a vegetation period of 90–100 days from transplanting. Its high adaptability makes it a versatile solution, performing equally well in both open field conditions and protective greenhouse environments. The plant is bred to withstand standard agricultural pressures while maintaining uniform fruit development.

• Fruit characteristics: Perfectly cylindrical shape with a length ranging from 26 to 40 cm.
• Weight: Each fruit matures to a substantial 300–400 grams, hitting the ideal weight for both retail and wholesale distribution.
• Aesthetics: The distinctive «diamond-black» glossy skin provides an excellent shelf-life and high appeal to consumers.

By integrating genetics from S.A.I.S., growers ensure that their harvest meets the high standards required by high-end vegetable markets. The combination of its impressive size, consistent shape, and deep dark color makes «Teti» an essential asset for any producer focused on premium quality crops.
