ALENKA

The Alenka eggplant variety is an early-maturing type with a ripening period of about 108 days from germination. The plant is of medium height, compact, reaching approximately 70 cm. The fruits are cylindrical, of medium length about 15 cm, light green in color with characteristic stripes that turn yellow upon full maturity. The flesh of a salad shade is distinguished by a high sugar content, which gives the fruits a pleasant taste. The average fruit mass is between 300 and 350 grams, making them convenient for various culinary purposes.

Alenka is excellent for growing in greenhouses and under temporary film covers, as well as on open areas with protection from wind and sufficient lighting. The plant prefers highly fertile, light soils rich in organic matter. For successful cultivation, it is recommended to sow seeds in late February to early March in pots with a diameter of up to 8 cm, and planting seedlings in a greenhouse or under a film cover is done in May at a soil temperature above 14°C. It is important to avoid prolonged heat, as it can cause plant suppression, flower and fruit drop.

The yield of the variety reaches up to 7.5 kg per square meter, making it attractive to gardeners and professional vegetable growers. The absence of spines on the calyx of the fruit facilitates harvest collection and processing. Due to its characteristics and resistance to growing conditions, the Alenka eggplant is a universal variety suitable for various climatic conditions and cultivation methods.
