Coriander Fresko

Working with Fresco coriander

When it comes to commercial coriander production, the balance between growth rate and aromatic quality is the key to profitability. The Fresco variety from Ooo `Grinomika` (originator Greenomica) is designed for professionals who need consistency in both greenhouse and open-field conditions.

Growth and cultivation insights

The uniformity of the crop is the first thing that stands out; it significantly simplifies the harvest process. The rosette is upright and robust, which is essential for mechanized or manual harvesting with minimal waste.

• Growth Vigor: The variety shows a strong start, which helps hit the target harvest window faster.
• Technical Benefits: The leaves are dense and retain turgor well during transport, ensuring the product looks fresh on the shelf.
• Resilience: Fresco demonstrates a strong natural tolerance to common coriander diseases, allowing for a reduction in fungicide applications.

From an operational standpoint, Fresco is not maintenance-heavy. It responds well to standard fertilization schedules for leafy greens without becoming oversized or losing its structure. This compactness allows for high-density planting, which is crucial for maximizing yield per square meter.

Economic performance

The main advantage of using seed material from `Grinomika` is reliability. You get a consistent product with a distinct but not overwhelming aroma, which is highly appreciated by retailers. When you calculate the input costs versus the high-quality output, Fresco proves to be a smart investment. It is an ideal choice for growers who build their reputation on the quality of their greens and want to avoid the risks associated with genetically unstable varieties.
