The Freesco F1 Dahlia is an annual decorative plant with a compact bush up to 20-25 cm high and large double flowers in bright shades. Blooming starts in July and continues until the first frosts, making it an excellent choice for edging, flower beds, and containers. Thanks to its compact size and bright coloration, Freesco F1 gives the garden an expressive and attractive look.
Growing Freesco F1 dahlias begins with sowing seeds in March-April in a peat and sand mixture in a 3:1 ratio at a soil temperature of about +18 °C. Seedlings appear after 7-14 days. When two true leaves appear, the seedlings are pricked out, and they are transplanted to a permanent location after spring frosts have passed. To maintain decorative qualities and enable perennial growing, tubers are dug up at the end of September – beginning of October, stems are cut 8-12 cm above the root collar, dried, and stored at 3-7 °C.
The Freesco F1 Dahlia is ideal for creating bright floral compositions and decorative accents in the garden. Its double flowers and compact size make the plant versatile for various landscape solutions, including edging and containers. Proper care and tuber storage allow you to keep the plant for the next season, making it a convenient and economical option for gardeners.
