AUTUMN BEAUTY

Daikon is a vegetable crop of the brassica family, representing a radish subspecies with a soft flavor and lack of mustard oil. The AUTUMN BEAUTY variety features neat green foliage and round root vegetables, uniform dark burgundy color on the outside and white flesh inside. The average fruit weight is 200–250 g, and with proper storage, it remains uncracked in the field.

For growing this variety, autumn sowing time is recommended – mid-March to early April. Seeds are pre-treated with hot water (50 °C) for 20 minutes, then cooled with ice and placed in the refrigerator for a day to stimulate germination. Such a method increases yield and accelerates root vegetable growth.

AUTUMN BEAUTY is easy to grow both in open ground and via seedling method, especially if fruits have short oval or round shape. The plant quickly reaches maturity – the first harvest appears within 40 days after sowing, while large-fruited varieties can produce fruits for up to 200 days. Thanks to the juicy flesh and soft taste, root vegetables are suitable for fresh consumption, braising, pickling, or boiling. The result is a high-quality product valued in supermarkets and markets.
