Cucumber variety Volgodonskaya 231 is a medium-early, high-yielding variety with a vegetation period of 46-48 days. The plant is climbing, indeterminate, with dark green, moderately lobed leaves and a female flowering type, with one to three female flowers forming at each node. The cucumbers have an oval or elongated-cylindrical shape, colored in shades from green to dark green, with clearly defined light-green stripes reaching up to half the fruit length. The fruit surface is large-bumpy with sparse black hairs, weighing between 90 to 125 grams and measuring 10-15 cm in length.

The variety has excellent flavor both fresh and for pickling, making it versatile for culinary use and pickling. Volgodonskaya 231 is bee-pollinated, contributing to high market yield, reaching 123-380 centners per hectare, significantly exceeding standard varieties. The plant prefers sunny or semi-shaded areas and is suitable for cultivation in both open and protected ground.
