Zanevsky cucumber is an early-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid intended for cultivation in plastic greenhouses. The plant is strong-growing, weakly branched, predominantly female-flowering, which promotes the formation of 2-3 fruits per node. The fruits are short, cylindrical, green with long light stripes, medium ribbed, and white-stemmed. Fruit mass ranges from 90 to 110 grams, with a pleasant taste and no bitterness, making them suitable for various culinary purposes. The hybrid is resistant to stem rot, enhancing its reliability and crop quality. Sowing seedlings is recommended in the last decade of April to early May in pots at a temperature of 23-25°C during germination, and maintaining a temperature of 18-20°C after emergence. Transplanting seedlings to their permanent location occurs after 25-30 days with a norm of 3 plants per square meter. Direct sowing is also possible in well-heated, organic-rich soil to a depth of 1.5-2 cm after the end of spring frosts. In open ground, plants do not form, but in greenhouses they are grown on trellises, and for an earlier harvest, shoots in the lower five internodes are pinched, leaving one fruit and leaf, while lateral shoots are pinched up to a height of 1-1.2 meters. Care for Zanevsky cucumbers includes regular, abundant watering with settled water and feeding with mineral and organic fertilizers. Harvesting is done daily in open ground and every day in greenhouses, as irregular harvesting reduces both yield and fruit quality. Due to its characteristics and disease resistance, this hybrid is an excellent choice for obtaining an early, high-quality cucumber harvest in plastic greenhouses.
