FUN FRIENDS

The cucumber variety 'Fun Friends' is a fast-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid with a cluster of flower buds, ensuring the formation of 2-5 fruits per node. This variety is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses or under temporary plastic coverings. The plant is strong-growing with limited lateral branching, making care and harvest easier. Fruits are cylindrical, 11-13 cm long, 3.5-4 cm in diameter, weighing 90-130 g, dark green with small light stripes and slight mottling. The fruit surface is finely wrinkled with a white down. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to temperature fluctuations and major cucumber diseases, making it a reliable choice for gardeners. Yield reaches up to 16 kg per square meter, and flavor qualities of the cucumbers are highly appreciated both fresh and for preservation. Due to parthenocarpy, fruits set without the involvement of bees or wind, allowing for a stable yield even under adverse conditions. Sowing seedlings is recommended at the end of April, while transplanting into the ground should be done at the end of May or beginning of June, when seedlings reach the 3-4 true leaf stage. Direct sowing into the ground in May-June is also possible. The optimal planting scheme is 30x70 cm, ensuring sufficient space for plant development and ease of care. 'Fun Friends' is one of the most successful cucumber varieties, combining speed of maturity, high yield, and ease of cultivation.
