Svetlyachok

Cucumber variety 'Svetlyachok' is a mid-early, high-yielding hybrid intended for cultivation in open fields and plastic greenhouses. The period from germination to the start of fruiting is 40-46 days, allowing for an early harvest. The plant is climbing and can reach a length of 2-2.5 meters, requiring appropriate support during cultivation. This variety is distinguished by resistance to major cucumber diseases, contributing to a stable and high-quality yield.

'Svetlyachok' fruits are cylindrical, large-buckled with medium-density bumps, green in color with characteristic light-green, blurred stripes and white hairs. Fruit length varies from 10 to 13 cm, weight is 75 to 115 grams. The taste qualities of the cucumbers are excellent, making them suitable for both fresh consumption and pickling or preservation.

For successful cultivation of this variety, it is recommended to plant cucumbers after crops such as cabbage, potatoes, onions, carrots, and peppers, on light, loose soils well enriched with organic matter. Sowing should be conducted when soil temperature reaches 10-12°C, avoiding frost risk. Seeds are sown in rows at a depth of 1-1.5 cm with spacing of 5-6 cm between them. Irrigation is recommended with warm water in the afternoon every 3-4 days. Young shoots should be harvested regularly every 1-2 days to maintain high fruit quality.
