Description VATAGA
Hybrid cucumber VATAGA is an early-maturing parthenocarpic variety intended for cultivation in both plastic greenhouses and open ground. The plant is indeterminate, medium-height, slightly branching, predominantly female-flowering, which promotes self-pollinating fruit formation. Multiple fruit settings ("bouquets") of five or more fruits form at nodes, ensuring high yield. The cucumbers are cylindrical, 10-13 cm long, weighing 80-120 g, dark green with white or short light stripes and mild mottling. The fruit surface has medium-sized bumps with white hairs, and the flavor is free of bitterness and of excellent quality. Hybrid VATAGA is characterized by rapid maturity — from germination to harvest takes 43-48 days. Seedlings should be sown in late April to early May, and transplanted into the ground at the two- to three-true-leaf stage in late May to early June. Direct sowing into open ground is also possible in late May to early June. The plant is resistant to true powdery mildew, root rot, olive spot, and tolerant to false powdery mildew, significantly simplifying care and increasing harvest reliability. The fruits of cucumber VATAGA are versatile: suitable for pickling, marinating, and making fresh salads. Due to its excellent flavor and lack of bitterness, this variety is popular among gardeners and home canners. The hybrid combines high productivity, disease resistance, and outstanding flavor, making it an excellent choice for cultivation under various conditions.
