SWEET KING

The 'Sweet King' cucumber variety is an early maturing hybrid with bee-pollinated female flowers, characterized by high yield and excellent taste qualities. Fruits ripen on average within 35–45 days after sowing, reaching lengths of 6–11 cm and weighing approximately 80–100 g. The cucumbers have a deep green color, large-warty surface with brown spines, crisp flesh without bitterness, and a pronounced sweet aroma, making them ideal for fresh consumption, salads, pickling, and marinating. The 'Sweet King' variety is easy to grow and suitable for both open ground and greenhouse cultivation. Plants form clusters of 1–3 fruits in leaf axils, contributing to high yield. For successful cultivation, ensure abundant watering, sufficient light, and regular feeding, such as chicken manure every two weeks. Seeds are typically sown in April–May at a depth of 1–2 cm, followed by transplanting seedlings into greenhouses or rows with 70 cm between rows and 50–55 cm between plants.
