Description

Cucumber Troy F1 is an early-maturing, high-yielding hybrid with a vegetation period of 42 to 47 days, allowing harvest as early as July. Plants are medium-height, medium-climbing, predominantly female-flowering with cluster-type fruits. Fruits have a cylindrical-oval shape, large-bumpy, with noticeable white stripes, 8–10 cm long and weighing 70–110 grams. Even when overripe, cucumbers do not turn yellow, which is a key advantage for maintaining market appearance and transportability.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to downy mildew and superior drought tolerance, making it suitable for cultivation in dry and hot conditions. Cucumber Troy F1 is versatile in use: it can be consumed fresh, preserved, or pickled. Plants can be grown both in open ground and under light plastic covers, while ensuring proper ventilation and access for bees for pollination.

For sowing, seeds are recommended to be pre-soaked in water for 30–60 minutes, discarding floating seeds. Sowing for seedlings is done in April, or directly into the ground in late May to early June, when soil temperature reaches 14–15°C. Seed depth is 2–3 cm, and planting spacing is 70–90 cm apart with 30 cm between rows. Care includes standard agronomic practices: weeding, loosening soil, watering, and feeding with specialized fertilizers. Seeds retain germination viability for up to 5–7 years, ensuring reliability and convenience in cultivation.
