DONSKOY RODNIK

DONSKOY RODNIK — an early-maturing, bee-pollinated hybrid of pickling cucumber type, which starts fruiting 40-45 days after emergence of seedlings. The plant is indeterminate, moderately branched with predominantly female flowering, ensuring high fruit set. Leaves are medium-sized and green, while fruits have an elongated-cylindrical shape, 8-10 cm long, with a short neck and medium-density black pubescence. The cucumbers are medium-humped, firm, bright green, with characteristic light stripes.

This hybrid is distinguished by excellent taste both fresh and preserved, making it versatile for fresh consumption, pickling, and canning. Fruits can be harvested not only at full size but also at the pickling stage, 3-5 cm long, which expands harvest usage opportunities. Marketable yield is about 13.2 kg per square meter, indicating high productivity of the variety.

DONSKOY RODNIK is resistant to major cucumber diseases, including powdery and false powdery mildew, which significantly simplifies care and increases cultivation reliability. Recommended for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses, allowing for stable yields under various climatic conditions.
