SHIK is a parthenocarpic cucumber hybrid of female flowering type, intended for cultivation in open ground, greenhouses, and tunnels. It is distinguished by its early maturity and high yield, allowing fruit to be harvested from the lowest stem nodes. The zucchini have a cylindrical shape, length of 12-14 cm, medium ribbed surface, and dark pubescence. Their weight ranges from 87 to 120 grams, and their color is light green. The hybrid does not require pinching and is suitable for direct sowing into the soil or transplanting. SHIK cucumber fruits have excellent flavor, are crisp and aromatic, and are suitable for fresh consumption as well as for canning and pickling. Due to its consistent fruiting and superior taste, this hybrid is widely used in both home and commercial cultivation. It fruits until late autumn, expanding its use in processing. The hybrid exhibits comprehensive resistance to major cucumber diseases, including olive spot, cucumber mosaic virus-1, powdery mildew, as well as tolerance to downy mildew and root rots. For sowing in open ground, planting should be conducted when soil temperature reaches 15-20°C during the day and not less than 8°C at night, using a substrate of peat, manure compost, sand, and mineral fertilizers. In greenhouses and tunnels, seeds are sown from early May, and seedlings are transplanted from mid-May, following a planting scheme of 70x40 cm.
