Description Apollo
Cucumber Apollo is a fast-maturing, cold-resistant parthenocarpic hybrid with female flowering, beginning fruiting as early as the 36th day after sowing. The plant is weakly branched, simplifying care and harvest, while simultaneously bearing 8-10 fruits on a single plant. The cucumbers are 13-15 cm long, cylindrical, intensely green with sparse bumps and a white-silky surface. They are characterized by juiciness, crisp texture, and pleasant aroma, completely lacking bitterness, making them especially attractive to consumers.

Hybrid Apollo boasts high yield, reaching up to 15 kg per square meter, and resistance to a complex of cucumber diseases, ensuring stable and high-quality fruit harvest. Cultivation is possible both by direct sowing of seeds into open ground and by seedling method. For sowing into the ground, work should be carried out when soil temperature reaches 20°C during the day and no less than 8°C at night. Seeds are sown at a depth of 1.5-2.0 cm into prepared furrows or holes filled with a substrate of peat, manure compost, sand, and mineral fertilizers, after which the area is mulched and covered with plastic film to retain moisture and heat.

For greenhouse cultivation, seeds are sown at the beginning of May, and seedlings are transplanted in mid-May, when the plants are 20-25 days old and have 3-5 true leaves. The recommended planting scheme is 70x40 cm. A distinctive feature of this hybrid is that it does not require pinching, simplifying agronomy and reducing labor costs. Thanks to its qualities and characteristics, cucumber Apollo is an excellent choice for obtaining early, abundant harvests of high-quality fruits.
