Description Prime
Prime — an early parthenocarpic cucumber hybrid that begins fruiting 40-48 days after germination. Plants are strong with a well-developed root system capable of adapting to various substrates, such as coconut or mineral wool. Leaves are dark green, medium to large in size, semi-horizontal. Female-type flowering, with 2-5 fruits per node, ensuring cluster fruiting and high yield. The hybrid's fruits are cylindrical, 9-14 cm long and 80-150 g in weight. They are dark green with large bumps and white spines. The flesh is dense, crisp, and aromatic, without bitterness. Fruits are versatile — suitable for fresh consumption, pickling, and marinating. They retain high consumer qualities, such as color, shape, and flavor, even during long transport. The Prime hybrid is highly resistant to major cucumber diseases, including cladosporiosis, root rot, true powdery mildew, and cucumber mosaic virus, and has moderate resistance to false powdery mildew. Plants are indeterminate and moderately branched, allowing effective cultivation both in protected and open ground. Seedlings should be transplanted at the 3-4 true leaf stage, with an optimal planting scheme of 50x50 cm to achieve maximum yield.
