Maverick

Maverick F1 cucumber is a medium-early parthenocarpic hybrid that begins fruiting 42-45 days after emergence. This variety is recommended for cultivation in plastic greenhouses during spring and summer-autumn rotations. Plants are strong with dark green medium to large leaves arranged semi-horizontally. The root system is well-developed and adapts to compacted soils, contributing to crop stability and high productivity.

Maverick fruits have a cylindrical shape, length 11-13 cm, diameter 3.5-4.0 cm, and weight from 110 to 140 grams. The fruits feature an intense dark green color and a bumpy surface with medium-sized white spines arranged densely. Harvesting the fruits at the cornichon or green stage is recommended to achieve the best flavor. The hybrid's yield is high and can reach 12-15 kg per square meter under greenhouse conditions.

Maverick F1 hybrid exhibits high resistance to cladosporiosis, root rot, true powdery mildew, and cucumber mosaic virus, as well as moderate resistance to false powdery mildew. Female-type flowering with 2-3 fruits per node ensures abundant fruiting. For optimal plant formation, a classic scheme is recommended: leaving lateral shoots and pinching the apex when it reaches the neighboring plant, which promotes even growth and increases yield.
