OKUNYEK

Cucumber variety Okunyek is an early-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid that begins fruiting 42-45 days after emergence of seedlings. The plant is strong-growing, medium-branched, and medium-leafy, with cluster formation of ovaries at nodes, where 3 to 5 fruits are formed. This growth type ensures high yield and ease of care.

The fruits of Okunyek cucumber are cylindrical, dark green with large bumps and white spines. Fruit length ranges from 10 to 12 cm, and weight reaches up to 110 grams. The skin of the cucumbers is tough, while the flesh has a crisp texture and a small seed cavity, making them versatile for various culinary uses and appealing to consumers.

The hybrid is recommended for cultivation both in open ground and under plastic covers. It exhibits high resistance to several diseases, including true powdery mildew, cladosporiasis, olive spot, and root rots.
