Cucumber LUKICH

Consistent Performance in Open Fields

The «Lukich» cucumber hybrid from Euro-Semena is engineered for farmers who prioritize reliability in open-field conditions. As a parthenocarpic variety, it does not rely on insect pollination, ensuring stable fruit sets even during fluctuating weather or temperatures. The plant exhibits a vegetative growth habit, providing a robust canopy that effectively protects the crop from intense sun exposure.

Field Application and Agronomics

The primary advantage of «Lukich» is its predictable cycle. With the onset of fruiting occurring between 40 and 60 days post-germination, agronomists can effectively plan for staggered harvesting to meet market demand throughout the season.

• Disease Resistance: Genetically resistant to powdery mildew and common scab, this hybrid significantly lowers pesticide input, allowing for a more cost-effective and sustainable cultivation cycle.
• Marketable Produce: The fruits reach 9–10 cm in length and weigh approximately 100 grams. Their uniform green color and prominent tubercles make them highly versatile, suitable for both fresh market sales and pickling/canning, maintaining excellent crunch and density throughout processing.

For small to medium-sized agricultural enterprises, «Lukich» offers a balance between ease of maintenance and high market quality. The absence of hollow spaces and consistent fruit size ensure high-value output, meeting the strict requirements of modern produce buyers.
