Cucumber variety DERSU is a medium-early, bee-pollinated variety of Far Eastern selection, characterized by its early maturity — from germination to the first harvest takes only 38-43 days. Plants are medium-branched, indeterminate type with mixed flowering, which promotes active fruit formation. Cucumbers have a white-spined surface, aromatic and tasty, making them an excellent choice for fresh consumption and salad preparation. Fruits have a mass of 95-115 grams, slowly turn brown, which increases their storage life and market appearance.
The variety is characterized by high resistance to main diseases such as downy mildew and bacterial wilt, ensuring a stable and high yield of marketable products. Plants are well-adapted to open-ground conditions, have a strong root system, and can withstand stressful factors, including high temperatures and temperature fluctuations. Thanks to these qualities, the DERSU variety is suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, providing uniform crop yield.
Cucumber fruits have an attractive dark green color without white stripes at the tip, dense structure, and cylindrical shape up to 12 cm long with a length-to-diameter ratio of about 3-3.1 to 1. These characteristics make the cucumbers versatile: they are suitable not only for fresh consumption but also ideal for pickling and salting. High transportability of the fruits allows maintaining their quality during transport and storage.
