Cucumber Susidu na zazdrist

Practical Application in Production

The bee-pollinated hybrid 'Susidu na zazdrist' is designed for growers who prioritize reliability in both open fields and greenhouse conditions. With its generative plant type, the hybrid efficiently allocates resources towards fruit set rather than excessive vegetative growth, simplifying maintenance and pruning tasks.

Key Operational Scenarios

• Fresh Market Efficiency: Producing fruits weighing 80–100 grams with a length of 9–10 cm, this hybrid delivers the classic gherkin look. The dark green, fine-tuberous skin ensures excellent marketability and shelf life, essential for competitive retail.
• Preservation and Processing: The internal structure of the fruit is dense, making it highly suitable for pickling and brining. The texture remains crisp even after processing, which is a major advantage for commercial canning operations.

Agronomic Advantages

One of the primary benefits of this hybrid is its robust resistance profile. By mitigating the risks of downy mildew, cladosporiosis, and cucumber mosaic virus, growers can significantly reduce their dependency on intensive chemical spray programs. Reaching maturity within 45–50 days, 'Susidu na zazdrist' allows for a quick cycle, enabling growers to hit early-season market windows effectively.
