Derya

Derya F1 is a medium-early parthenocarpic hybrid of the cornichon type, suitable for cultivation both in open fields and in plastic greenhouses. The vegetation period is about 45-50 days, allowing for a quick harvest. The plant features a strong root system and high regenerative capacity, ensuring resistance to stressful conditions, including high and low temperatures, as well as air and soil drought. The hybrid forms 1-2 fruits per node, promoting even yield and high productivity. Derya cucumber fruits have a cylindrical shape, up to 12 cm long and 4-5 cm in diameter, with a length-to-diameter ratio of approximately 3-3.1:1. They are characterized by uniform dark green color without white stripes at the tip, large warts, and dense structure. The average fruit weight is 90-100 g. Due to their density and quality, the cucumbers withstand transportation well and maintain their market appearance, making them especially attractive for commercial cultivation. The Derya F1 hybrid exhibits high resistance to major diseases such as olive spot, powdery mildew, mosaic viruses, and vascular yellows. These characteristics, along with high yields of marketable fruits, make it ideal for pickling and salting. It is recommended to sow seeds at a rate of 30-50 thousand per hectare to achieve maximum yield. The hybrid is produced in the Netherlands by Enza Zaden, ensuring high-quality seed material.
