Cucumber ANTUAN

Precision Production with Antoine F1

Bejo Zaden’s «Antoine» cucumber is a staple for growers who prioritize efficiency and uniform production cycles. As a parthenocarpic hybrid, it is specifically engineered for professional cultivation, performing exceptionally well in glass greenhouses while maintaining reliable vigor in open-field conditions.

Key Agronomic Benefits

The generative growth habit of this variety is a significant asset for farm management. By channeling metabolic resources primarily into fruit set rather than excessive foliage, the plant simplifies labor-intensive tasks such as pruning and canopy management.

• Robust Disease Resistance: The hybrid comes with strong genetic resistance to Cladosporium (scab), powdery mildew, and cucumber mosaic virus. This inherent defense mechanism effectively reduces the necessity for intensive chemical fungicide applications.
• Consistent Yields: Whether in greenhouse environments or field settings, Antoine produces uniform, bright green fruits ranging from 7 to 10 cm, meeting the highest market standards for fresh produce.
• Predictable Harvests: The generative structure ensures a steady output, making it easier for large-scale operations to plan and execute harvest schedules with precision.

For growers utilizing Bejo Zaden B.V. genetics, the Antoine variety provides a reliable buffer against environmental stressors and common pathogens, ensuring that the return on investment remains stable from the first flush to the end of the season.
