Cucumber L 95

Operational insights: Growing the L 95 Cucumber

For growers focusing on efficiency and high-quality yield, the L 95 hybrid offers a distinct advantage due to its generative plant type. This architecture minimizes unnecessary vegetative growth, ensuring that the plant's resources are channeled directly into fruit production. As an operator, this means less time spent on pruning and plant maintenance, regardless of whether you are cultivating in open fields or glass greenhouses.

Key Operational Advantages

• Disease Resilience: With built-in resistance to Downy Mildew and Bacteriosis, you significantly reduce the need for intensive fungicide spraying. This lowers your chemical input costs and labor hours dedicated to field maintenance.
• Harvest Specifications: The fruit is a consistent dark green, heavily warted, and weighs approximately 100 grams. Its firm structure is ideal for handling and logistics, ensuring minimal post-harvest losses.
• Pollination Needs: As a bee-pollinated variety, management strategy must prioritize access for pollinators, especially in greenhouse environments.

Developed through a partnership between Semenovod-M and the Federal Research Center for Vegetable Growing (led by experts including N.K. Biryukova), L 95 is built for reliability. It is a workhorse hybrid that responds well to precise nutrient management. By adhering to the recommended agronomic protocols, operators can expect a predictable and uniform harvest, which is essential for consistent supply chain planning.
