Description VERENITSA
Cucumber Verenitsa is an early-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid intended for salad use. The plant is indeterminate, medium-branched with a female flowering type, usually forming two female flowers per node. The cucumbers are short, oval, dark green with small bumps, pubescence, and white spines. The average fruit weight is about 78 grams, and the taste is highly rated. The leaf blade is medium-length and green. This variety is distinguished by high commercial yield, reaching 5.4 kg per square meter in plastic greenhouses during spring-summer turnover. Verenitsa exhibits high resistance to powdery mildew and cladosporeiosis, and moderate resistance to cucumber mosaic virus, ensuring reliable cultivation even under adverse conditions. Thanks to these qualities and excellent adaptability, this variety is suitable for prolonged fruiting and provides a stable yield throughout the season. The cucumbers have thin skin and rich flavor, making them versatile for fresh consumption and pickling. The fruits of cucumber Verenitsa are dark green without stripes, finely bumpy, and have a small seed cavity, improving their quality and storage. The plant is characterized by a prolonged fruiting period, with tendrils remaining green longer compared to other varieties, extending the harvest window. The variety tolerates cold and rainy weather well, reducing disease risk and enhancing resistance to adverse factors. Verenitsa is an excellent choice for cultivation in greenhouses and open ground, ensuring high quality and stable yield.
