BABAYKA

Cucumber BABAYKA is an early parthenocarpic hybrid of cornichon cucumber, intended for cultivation in greenhouses, under temporary film coverings, and in open ground. The vegetation period is 45-50 days from germination to the start of fruiting. The plant is strong-growing with limited lateral branch development and a cluster-type fruiting pattern, where 2 to 4 fruits form in one node. Leaves are medium-sized and dark green, promoting good growth and crop resilience. Cucumber BABAYKA fruits are cylindrical, 10-13 cm long, weighing 100-120 grams. They are dark green with fine warts and a thin, tender skin. The flesh is dense, juicy, and crisp, making the cucumbers ideal for fresh consumption, canning, and pickling. Distinctive flavor and high marketability make this hybrid popular among gardeners and farmers. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to diseases such as true and false powdery mildew, as well as root rot, significantly simplifying care and increasing yield. Yield reaches 10-12 kg per square meter. Seed sowing is recommended at the end of April to a depth of 2-3 cm, and transplanting to soil or greenhouse at the end of May under optimal temperature of 25-30 degrees. Planting scheme is 30 x 70 cm, ensuring good plant development and maximum harvest.
