Description

Cucumber variety "Gostinets" is a fast-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid that does not require pollination, making it ideal for cultivation in greenhouses and under temporary coverings in open ground. The ripening period is 45-48 days, allowing for an early harvest. Plants are medium-height with limited lateral branching, forming 5 to 8 fruits per node. Fruits are 10-12 cm long, 3.5-4.0 cm in diameter, and weigh 90-110 g. They are dark green with small light stripes and have white stems with frequent medium-sized bumps. This variety is characterized by high yield — up to 5.5 to 7 kg per plant, and up to 4.5 kg per square meter. "Gostinets" cucumbers have excellent flavor: crisp, delicious, and free of bitterness. Due to this, they are widely used both fresh for meals and for canning, pickling, and marinating. Pickled cucumbers of this variety make an excellent base for various dishes. The hybrid has comprehensive resistance to multiple diseases, significantly simplifying care and increasing harvest reliability. For cultivation, seedlings should be sown at the end of April, followed by transplanting into greenhouses or open ground at the end of May to early June. Direct sowing into the soil is optimal at the end of May. Recommended planting scheme: 50x50 cm in greenhouses and 30x70 cm in open ground, ensuring optimal plant development and maximum yield.
