Description AGAFON
Agafon cucumber is an early-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid that starts fruiting 44-47 days after full emergence. The plant is indeterminate, medium-height, and medium-branched, with predominantly female flowering, ensuring high yield. The hybrid is adapted for cultivation both in open ground and under plastic coverings, making it versatile and convenient for various growing conditions.

The Agafon cucumber fruits are cylindrical, 8-10 cm long, and weigh up to 90 g. They are dark green, ribbed with white spines, have a tender skin, and crisp flesh without bitterness or cavities. The seed cavity is small, enhancing flavor. The greens retain excellent taste and market appearance both fresh and after pickling or canning, making this variety popular for various culinary purposes.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to powdery mildew and other diseases, and has high adaptability, contributing to stable yields. Market yield reaches 175 centners per hectare. The plant has dark green, medium-sized leaves and a weak waxy coating on the fruits. Recommended planting scheme — 70 cm x 25 cm, and seed sowing is optimal in the second half of May or early June. After harvest, the cucumbers maintain an attractive appearance, which is important for marketing and storage.
