TALALAY

Talalay cucumber is a medium-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid, characterized by high and stable yield and versatility in cultivation. The period from germination to the start of fruiting is 48-56 days, allowing for early harvest both in open ground and under plastic coverings. The plant is indeterminate, climbing, and moderately branched, forming cluster inflorescences, which causes the cucumbers to grow in groups, facilitating harvest and increasing yield.

Talalay cucumber fruits are cylindrical, 8-12 cm long, and weigh up to 100 g. They have a uniform dark green color, medium- or large-bump surface, and white spines. The cucumbers are non-bitter, retain turgor, crispness, and excellent taste when consumed fresh, as well as during pickling and canning. The hybrid has excellent transportability, making it convenient for commercial cultivation and marketing.

The variety's key feature is high resistance to stress factors and diseases such as cucumber mosaic virus, true powdery mildew, and cladosporeiosis. Additionally, Talalay tolerates nighttime temperature drops, enabling its cultivation via seedlings to obtain an earlier harvest with superior taste qualities. Seeds of this hybrid are sold in packages of 0.25 grams and are suitable for cultivation under various climatic conditions.
