Maize Titan 220 SV

Scientific reliability: The Titan 220 CV hybrid

Developed by the Institute of Plant Physiology and Genetics of the NAS of Ukraine, the "Titan 220 CV" is a testament to the effectiveness of Ukrainian three-way cross breeding. This hybrid is engineered for producers who prioritize consistent grain yields and field reliability over experimental extremes. It has secured a firm place on the market as a mid-maturing option that balances input efficiency with output stability.

Field performance and pest resistance

The primary appeal of the Titan 220 CV lies in its robust biological defense system. It possesses significant genetic resistance to common field hazards, including boil smut and common stalk smut. Furthermore, its natural resilience against the European corn borer helps farmers reduce their reliance on chemical insecticides, ensuring a cleaner crop and lower overall production costs.

• Primary Use: Dedicated grain production.
• Maturity: A flexible vegetation period of 110–140 days.
• FAO Rating: 220, ensuring optimal adaptation for most regions.

The reputation of this hybrid is built on its adaptive behavior. Because it is a three-way hybrid, it displays excellent plasticity, allowing it to withstand weather fluctuations and transient droughts that might compromise less stable varieties. For the modern farm, the Titan 220 CV represents a pragmatic investment: it is a reliable, high-yielding crop that fulfills the promise of predictable grain outcomes at harvest time.
