Hybrid corn Tonacja (FAO 220-230) is a versatile agricultural crop designed for various uses, including grain, silage, meal, bioethanol, and biogas production. Seeds are supplied in packages of 50,000 units, corresponding to one planting unit. This hybrid features good early growth, high drought resistance, moderate stay-green ability, and good plant drying speed.
Tonacja exhibits high resistance to diseases, particularly stalk and node diseases, confirmed by excellent plant health indicators. It can successfully grow on less fertile soils, broadening its application across various agro-climatic conditions. Recommended planting density for silage is 95,000-100,000 plants per hectare, and for grain and CCM — approximately 80,000 plants per hectare.
Advantages of the Tonacja hybrid include stable yields and high digestibility of plant material when used for silage, confirmed by German research results. Average grain yield in the 2012-2013 seasons reached 111.6 c/ha, exceeding standard benchmarks. Seeds produced for the 2024 season will be delivered in December-January and come with current quality certificates. Additional seed treatment with bird and pest protection agents is possible, improving germination and crop survival.
