Beans Daisy

Danish Excellence for the Food Processing Industry

The 'Daisy' bean variety by Nordic Seed A/S stands as a testament to specialized agricultural breeding aimed at the professional canning industry. Developed by the originator P.H.Petersen Saatzucht Lundsgaard, this variety embodies the Nordic approach to agrotechnology: high field uniformity and consistent yield of premium-grade produce.

Specialization: Processing as the Core Priority

Unlike forage or general-purpose varieties, 'Daisy' was engineered to meet the stringent demands of food processors. The primary objective for this variety is to ensure optimal texture and organoleptic properties post-thermal processing. Its market positioning is defined by several key factors:

• Technological Efficiency: The variety is adapted for mechanical harvesting, which is critical for large-scale industrial operations.
• Crop Predictability: Nordic Seed A/S breeding programs focus on minimizing plant stress responses under the varying climatic conditions of Denmark and Northern Europe.
• Quality Benchmarks: The beans possess the precise size and color profile required for high-end canning, effectively reducing rejection rates on processing lines.

The reputation of Nordic Seed A/S is built upon the integration of rigorous scientific research into practical field agronomy. 'Daisy' demonstrates that a narrow specialization often yields superior results compared to the pursuit of a "universal" product. Growers turn to this variety when the ultimate goal of their business cycle is supplying high-quality preserved goods to the retail sector.
