Maize TANYA M

Genetic Potential and Purpose

The "Tanya M" corn variety from NPO "Semenovodstvo Kubani" is a specialized cultivar focused on the processing industry. Unlike mass-market silage or feed hybrids, "Tanya M" is designed as a niche solution for the production of grits and popcorn. Its dent grain structure provides optimal endosperm density, which is a critical factor in mechanical processing.

Agronomic Characteristics

The medium-early maturation period allows the crop to effectively utilize the growing season in temperate climates, reducing the risk of frost damage. For the agronomist, this ensures predictable harvesting schedules and stable grain moisture, simplifying logistics and storage. The technological properties of the dent grain allow for a high yield of finished products—grits kernel—with minimal flour waste.

Technical Profile

• Type: Variety adapted to the breeding standards of NPO "Semenovodstvo Kubani".
• Grain: Dent-type structure with a distinct endosperm.
• Application: Deep processing (grits, popcorn).
• Maturity: Medium-early cycle.

Choosing "Tanya M" is justified for farms focused on high-value commercial grain. The stability of varietal characteristics ensures batch uniformity, which is crucial for production lines handling popcorn, where grain structure dictates expansion ratios and the organoleptic properties of the final product.
