The herbicide Stels is a soil-applied protective agent for major agricultural crops such as sunflower, potato, carrot, and cowpea, against a broad spectrum of annual broadleaf and some grass weeds. The active ingredient of the product is fluroxypyr at a concentration of 250 g/l, belonging to the chemical group of pyralidones. The product is available in the form of an emulsifiable concentrate in 5 and 20-liter packages, ensuring ease of application and dosing.
Stels provides long-lasting protection for crops, lasting up to 3-4 months, allowing effective weed control throughout the entire vegetation period. The product can be applied either before or after sowing, but must be done before crop emergence, or in the 1-3 leaf stage of sunflower. For optimal results, it is recommended to use a working solution application rate of 200-300 liters per hectare. The herbicide also combines well in tank mixtures with other plant protection products such as Tizer, Hortus, and Datonit Gold.
In terms of safety, Stels belongs to Class 2 hazard according to the WHO classification. After application, it is necessary to observe the time intervals before workers can return to treated areas: 3 days for mechanized operations and 7 days for manual work. The maximum number of applications per season is one, which reduces stress on the crop and minimizes the risk of weed resistance development.
