Description SI Veralia
SY Veralia is a mid-early universal corn hybrid with a FAO number of 260, intended for producing high-quality grain and silage. The hybrid is adapted for cultivation in all climatic zones of Ukraine, taking into account planting dates and seeding rates. The plant exhibits moderate growth rates at the beginning of the vegetative period, a strong root system, and a sturdy stem resistant to lodging and infection by common smut. The ear is of medium size, tightly wrapped by husks, can elongate under favorable conditions, and may form a secondary ear, contributing to increased yield.

The grain is of a silvery-toothed type, yellow in color, with high starch content, ensuring rapid moisture release during maturity and harvest. SY Veralia exhibits high drought tolerance, moderate cold resistance, and excellent tolerance to stalk rot. The hybrid demonstrates stable productivity and high yield under balanced mineral nutrition, optimal irrigation, and early planting dates.

The recommended plant population varies by region: from 45-55 thousand plants per hectare in the steppe zone to 75-90 thousand in Polissia. Due to its characteristics—high cold tolerance, drought resistance, and rapid moisture release—SY Veralia is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain quality grain and silage yields across various soil types.
