RODRIGUES KVS

The hybrid maize RODRIGUES KVS® is an early-maturing simple hybrid with FAO 180, developed by German breeders of the company KWS SAAT SE. Plants of this hybrid have a medium height of 250 to 270 cm, with wide leaves and ear attachment height of approximately 90-100 cm. The ear consists of 14 rows of kernels, with 26 to 33 kernels per row. The 1000-kernel weight varies from 239 to 300 grams depending on the growing region, indicating high grain quality and density. The grain is starchy, with protein content of about 9.9% and starch 71.6%, making it versatile for various uses. RODRIGUES KVS stands out for its high yield and adaptability, enabling successful cultivation in various climatic conditions. Average yields in the Central Chernozem region reach 80.3 c/ha, in the Volga region — 75.8 c/ha, in the West Siberian region — 43.5 c/ha, and in the Ural region — 10.6 c/ha. The hybrid demonstrates good resistance to lodging and drought, and is also weakly affected by stalk rot, which enhances yield stability. Recommended planting density is 80-90 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture and 60-75 thousand under dry conditions. Due to its characteristics, RODRIGUES KVS is suitable for grain, silage, and production of meal and compound feed. Its high adaptability and stability make this hybrid an attractive choice for farmers aiming to obtain high-quality and high yields in various agroclimatic zones.
