Description Redda
Redda — a late maize hybrid intended for grain production, featuring high resistance to major diseases and stress factors. This hybrid is characterized by rapid early growth and high genetic resistance to diseases such as common rust, stalk fusarium, and helminthosporium, as well as to certain pests. As a result, pesticide use is reduced, making cultivation more environmentally friendly and economically advantageous. Redda is well adapted to traditional cultivation technologies and is recommended for growing in forest-steppe and steppe zones with optimal plant population density of 60-70 thousand per hectare.

The hybrid produces dent-type grain with low starch content, which affects the final product quality. Plants are medium to tall, reaching heights of 250 to 300 cm, with strong stalks and a robust root system, ensuring resistance to lodging and stalk breakage during the pre-harvest period. The 1000-grain weight varies from 250 to 350 grams, indicating high yield potential. To achieve maximum performance, it is recommended to apply sufficient mineral fertilizers during soil preparation.

Redda demonstrates good drought tolerance, allowing for stable yields even under insufficient water conditions. The hybrid also exhibits excellent moisture shedding, especially at the end of the vegetative period, which facilitates harvesting and reduces yield losses. Due to its characteristics and resistance to diseases, Redda is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain high-quality grain with minimal plant protection costs.
