Description Printsessa Belogorya
The corn variety 'Princessa Belogor'ya' is a mid-season silage-type population with a vegetation period of 112-114 days and a FAO index of 350. Plants reach a height of more than three meters and are characterized by high leafiness, which promotes effective photosynthesis and biomass accumulation. The ear is very long, weakly conical with a short stalk and red core, with an ear attachment height of 85-90 cm. The grain is predominantly dentate, crested-dentate, with a 1000-grain weight of 285-300 grams and a milling yield of 75-77%. The variety is distinguished by high productivity: when grown for silage, it can yield up to 1000 centners of green mass per hectare, and grain yield reaches 30-50 centners per hectare. The recommended plant density is 70-75 thousand per hectare for silage use and 55-60 thousand for seed production. 'Princessa Belogor'ya' is drought-resistant, making it a reliable choice for regions with variable climatic conditions. Additionally, the variety exhibits good resistance to several diseases: it is resistant to southern helminthosporiosis, lightly affected by bubble head and bacterial diseases, and has increased resistance to ear fusarium. However, it shows severe damage from the stalk borer, requiring attention during crop protection. The average yield of standardized dry matter in the region is about 99-99.5 centners per hectare, meeting standards and confirming the variety's high productivity.
