Description RNIISK 1
RNIISK 1 is a hybrid corn population developed by the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Scientific Research "RosSorgo". The hybrid belongs to the mid-maturing varieties with FAO 380 and is intended for silage and grain production. Plants are tall, reaching 250–260 cm, with cylindrical ears containing 16 rows of kernels. The 1000-kernel weight ranges from 228 to 254 g, indicating the hybrid's large-kernel nature.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to lodging (5 points), drought tolerance (4–5 points), and cold resistance (5 points). It shows resistance to a range of diseases, including southern helminthiosis, blister rust, bacterial disease, and ear fusarium, ensuring stable yields under various climatic conditions. Grain yield upon threshing reaches 79–81%, and protein content in mature kernels varies from 10.2 to 11.2%, while starch content ranges from 67 to 71%.

The average grain yield in the North Caucasus region is approximately 63.6 c/ha, and normalized dry matter yield is 109.4 c/ha. The RNIISK 1 hybrid is well adapted to mechanized harvesting, facilitating agricultural operations and increasing production efficiency. Due to its characteristics, this hybrid is a reliable choice for agricultural enterprises focused on producing high-quality silage and grain.
