Maize Ruca

Stable Yields for Both Grain and Silage

The German-bred hybrid «Rukka» by Farmsaat is a versatile solution for modern farms looking to bridge the gap between livestock feed production and grain trading. Its genetic background ensures excellent performance and reliability across varying climatic conditions.

Agronomic Advantages

• Plant Health: Strong resistance to Fusarium and common smut minimizes crop loss risks, even in seasons with high infection pressure. The hybrid also demonstrates robust tolerance against Helminthosporium and stalk smut.
• Versatile Usage: The flint-dent grain type provides an ideal balance between moisture dry-down efficiency and high nutritional value for silage, making it a premium choice for dairy and beef operations.
• Planting Density: Depending on your specific goals, the recommended seeding rate ranges from 55,000–60,000 plants/ha for grain production to 75,000–80,000 plants/ha when aiming for maximum biomass for silage.

«Rukka» is the choice for farm managers focused on consistency. By leveraging the expertise of the German breeder Farmsaat, growers receive a crop that performs predictably. This hybrid responds exceptionally well to modern agronomic practices, allowing for high gross yields while reducing the need for intensive fungicide applications, thanks to its inherent immunity. It is a robust asset for any commercial crop rotation.
