Description Ruca
The Ruca corn hybrid is a versatile mid-season hybrid with FAO 320, intended for silage-grain use. It features high growth energy and a strong stalk, ensuring excellent resistance to lodging. The plant reaches a height of approximately 280 cm, with ears positioned at 110 cm. The grain is cream-colored with a toothed texture and a red ear stalk, which is a characteristic morphological feature of this hybrid.

Ruca has high yield potential — up to 155 ц/ha, with an average yield over test years of about 103 ц/ha. The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to diseases and stress factors, including helminthosporiosis, stem and ear fusarium, and powdery mildew. Drought tolerance and rapid water release capacity (up to 14-15%) allow harvesting even after the first frosts, which is especially important for regions with variable climatic conditions.

The optimal growing conditions for the Ruca hybrid are southern regions of Ukraine, including Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Odesa Oblasts. The recommended plant density varies by region: 55-60 thousand plants/ha in steppe zones and 75-80 thousand plants/ha in Polissia. Thanks to its agronomic characteristics and adaptability, the Ruca hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality corn yields.
