Platinum

Corn Platinum is a medium-maturing, simple inter-row hybrid of the grain type with FAO 340, developed by the Institute of Grain Crops of NAAN Ukraine and the Agro-Industrial Complex 'MAIS' (Cherkasy). This hybrid is characterized by high yield potential up to 150-160 c/ha and is adapted for cultivation in steppe and forest-steppe zones of Ukraine. Plants reach a height of 260-270 cm, with ear length of 23-25 cm and 1000-grain weight ranging from 295-320 g. The grain is yellow, dent-shaped, with milling yield of 82-84% and harvest moisture of 18-20%. Platinum exhibits high drought tolerance and reproductivity, ensuring stable productivity even under conditions of insufficient moisture. The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to major diseases and stress factors: cold and drought resistance are rated at 8.5-9 out of 10, resistance to lodging, fusarium, head smut, and corn borer is also at a high level. Recommended planting density varies depending on moisture conditions — from 45-50 thousand plants per hectare in dry zones to 65-70 thousand in more humid regions. Thanks to its agronomic characteristics and ecological stability, the Platinum hybrid is an optimal choice for farmers seeking high-quality grain yields under various climatic conditions. Its reproductivity and adaptability allow efficient use of seeds in different agrotechnical systems, ensuring reliability and economic benefit in corn cultivation.
