The herbicide Perun is a selective soil-acting agent designed for effective control of annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in the crops of various agricultural plants, such as sunflower, pea, carrot, soybean, potato, and coriander. The active ingredient is permethrin at a concentration of 500 g/l, supplied in the form of concentrate suspension. The herbicide is characterized by moderate hazard (Class III) and is supplied in plastic pails of 5 and 20 liters. For storage, it is recommended to keep in a dry place at a temperature from 0 °C to +30 °C.
The mechanism of action of Perun is based on blocking the photosynthesis process in weeds, leading to suppression of respiration and development of their leaves, as well as destruction at the germination stage. The preparation has a contact-systemic effect and provides prolonged protection for crops for up to 10-12 weeks. It effectively controls a wide range of weeds, including wild rice, chickweed, mustard, field chamomile, nettle, purslane, black nightshade, water hyacinth, sow thistle, Persian speedwell, shepherd’s purse, field bindweed, creeping clover, common ragwort, wild radish, and others.
Application of the herbicide Perun is recommended in the morning or evening at air temperatures from +15 °C to +21 °C. The dosage of the preparation is 2.0 to 5.0 liters per hectare. The product does not exhibit phytotoxicity to crops and combines well with other soil herbicides in tank mixtures, making it a universal and reliable solution for protecting crops from weeds.
