The Gerzi CS corn hybrid is a mid-season grain hybrid with FAO 280, developed for high yield under various climatic conditions in Ukraine, including the Forest-Steppe and Steppe regions. This hybrid is distinguished by high drought and cold tolerance, ensuring stable yields even under adverse weather conditions. Plants reach a height of 270-280 cm, with ear length of 19-22 cm. The grain is dent-shaped, yellow, with a 1000-grain weight of 280-300 g and a milling yield of 83-85%.
Gerzi CS exhibits high resistance to major corn diseases, including Fusarium and northern corn leaf blight, as well as pests such as the corn earworm. Due to its rapid moisture release during maturity, the hybrid allows for optimized harvest timing and reduces the risk of yield loss. Its high ecological stability and adaptability make it a reliable choice for cultivation across various regions of Ukraine.
To achieve maximum productivity, it is recommended to apply fertilization during the 3-5 leaf stage using microfertilizers, as well as post-emergence herbicides and insecticides appropriate for the plant's growth stage. Optimal planting density depends on soil moisture levels and ranges from 60,000 to 80,000 plants per hectare. All these measures contribute to effective growth and development of the Gerzi CS corn hybrid, ensuring high-quality yields.
